An information meeting for the Disaster Journalism: Preventing the News from Turning into a Disaster project, coordinated by Selçuk University and implemented in partnership with RTÜK, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the University of Primorska (Slovenia), Kyiv University (Ukraine), and the University of Vigo (Spain), was held at our agency.

The program began with an opening speech delivered by Mr. Tuncay Karabulut, Regional Director of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications in Konya. During the meeting, the project coordinator Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir Gölcü presented the main objectives of the project and shared its key outcomes and educational outputs developed throughout the implementation period.

Representatives of the Directorate of Communications, members of the press, project partners, and relevant stakeholders attended the event, demonstrating strong institutional and media interest in strengthening ethical and reliable disaster communication.
